The Monroe County Legislature has approved the new $1.3 billion county budget proposed by County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo.
The budget cuts the property tax rate by another dime to $8.79 per $1,000 of assessed value.
Dinolfo says the budget protects the county's credit rating, and fully funds her job growth initiatives.
Nearly half of the budget will fund services, programs, and initiatives that benefit children and families.
Dinolfo leaves office at the end of the month and says she is proud of the work during her term to build better, lower tax budgets.
