A Gates man has pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges.
Federal prosecutors say Facebook reported in June that Gary Zeitvogel had been using Facebook for sexually explicit conversations with a 15-year-old Rochester girl.
He was already on probation from a child endangerment conviction and was prohibited from using social media. A search of his phone turned up more than 1,500 images of child pornography, including some pictures of the girl.
He faces at least five years in prison and will be sentenced in March.
