A second man is facing murder charges for a summer homicide in Phelps.
An Ontario County grand jury has charged Luis Boffil-Leyro with second-degree murder and two weapon possession counts.
He and co-defendant Omar Martinez-Salome are accused of shooting and killing Jean Carlos-Rentas on Route 96 on August 13.
Authorities have said the shooting was drug-related.
Boffil-Leyro is currently being held without bail in Livingston County for a federal parole violation and a weapon charge.
