Folks hoping to get on the waiting list in Rochester for a Section 8 housing voucher now have a rare chance to apply.
The Rochester Housing Authority has opened a two-week application window. It will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on December 22.
The RHA is currently assisting more than 9,000 households with Section 8 vouchers.
Each time the waiting list opens, between 15,000 and 22,000 applications are received.
Applications can only be submitted through Rochester Housing Authority’s website at www.rochesterhousing.org.
