A Rochester man charged in an attack this fall on a city police officer has been found competent to stand trial.
Keith Williams is accused of seriously injuring Officer Denny Wright when Wright responded to a domestic disturbance October 4 on Peck Street.
Wright was stabbed in the eyes and lost his sight.
The charges include attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault of a police officer, and assault.
Williams is expected to use a mental illness defense.
The trial is scheduled for April 6.
