The Rochester International Airport is receiving a national award for the recently completed renovation project. Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says the airport received the 2019 Airports Going Green (AGG) Award for Outstanding Sustainability Infrastructure Development.
The airport has several new sustainability features including new high-efficiency Air Conditioning units conserve energy and 30 custom recycling containers for people to recycle waste, glass and plastics.
