Former Judge Astacio Sentenced for Latest DWI Probation Violations

Former judge Leticia Astacio has been sentenced to six months in jail for her latest violations of her DWI probation.

She pleaded guilty to the violation this morning and asked to be sentenced to time served. She said she has been penalized enough for her past violations.

But the judge said the DWI in 2016 was a serious charge and Astacio hasn't taken responsibility for her actions since.

The violations in August included the failure to report to the probation office and misuse of her ignition interlock device.

Astacio was removed as a Rochester City judge last fall and has been working as an attorney.
