Convicted Felon Pleads Guilty To Possessing Firearm, Ammunition

Federal prosecutors say a Rochester man has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition while being a convicted felon.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 24-year-old Markiest Hatfield was arrested in January on North Clinton Avenue. Police found he had a semi-automatic rifle hidden in his pants and 77 rounds of ammunition. Less than a year before, Hatfield had been convicted of attempted robbery and legally forbidden to possess a firearm.
