Officials Push Back On Impending Criminal Justice Reform

Law enforcement officials across the state are want the state to delay the start of the criminal justice reform laws set to take effect January 1.

The state sheriff's association, the New York police chief's association and the District Attorney's Association, are asking for the delay.

Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter is standing with the others, and will say more at a news conference this morning.

The new law end will allow many criminal suspects to be released without bail and mandate full disclosure of evidence to the defense within 15 days of an arrest.
