Couple Charged After Domestic Fight Kills Their Dog

Two Canandaigua residents have been charged with animal cruelty after they engaged in a fight that ended up killing one of their dogs.

Canandaigua police say they were called to an address on Niagara Street where they found 60-year-old Frederick Moskala and 59-year-old Maryann Grant had been involved in a furniture-throwing brawl. Officers discovered the couple's Miniature Doberman Pinscher dog had been trapped under some of the overturned furniture and died.

The Ontario County Humane Society took custody of the couple's other dog. Both Moskala and Grant have a date to appear in court.
