Jury notices sent out to New Yorkers will soon include more gender options than just male and female.
The state court system will add four new categories, transgender, non-binary, intersex and 'other' to all jury paperwork.
Jury members, once picked, will also get to choose how they are addressed by judges and lawyers while in the courtroom.
Options will include, Ms., Mr. and Juror, followed by the person's last name.
