Xerox is in negotiations to make an offer to buy personal computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the board at Xerox is in preliminary discussions which may not lead to an offer to purchase HP. Last month, HP said it would cut between seven-and-nine-thousand jobs by 2022 to save on average of one-billion-dollars a year.
As both companies look to cut costs, experts estimate that combining the companies could save more than two-billion-dollars in expenses. However, making a deal could be difficult considering HP is more than three times in size and has a market value of 27-billion-dollars in comparison to Xerox's eight-billion.
