Defense Begins Today In Wilbern Trial

The defense case begins today at the Richard Wilbern trial, and could continue through at least next Wednesday.

Prosecutors rested their case yesterday after nearly three weeks of testimony.

Wilbern is on trial for the 2003 robbery at the Xerox Federal Credit Union, and the shooting of two customers -- one of whom died.

DNA evidence was a key focus of the government's case. Prosecutors say DNA evidence is reliable, and Wilbern had a motive -- he had been fired by Xerox.
