Nationwide Shortage of Flu Vaccine Designed for Seniors

There's a nationwide shortage of a powerful flu vaccine designed for seniors.

It's called Fluzone High-Dose and is recommended for people 65 and up because it has more antigens, providing better protection for older people.

Sanofi Pasteur, the company that makes Fluzone, denies there's a shortage but seniors in Texas, Maine, Massachusetts and Colorado say they're having trouble locating it.

The CDC estimates that nearly 170-million flu doses will be distributed in the U.S. this year by various drug makers.
