RCSD Working On Proposal To Cut Expenses

The Rochester school board is working on proposals to cut expenses.

An audit last month revealed spending in the district exceeded the last budget by $30 million.

Superintendent Terry Dade said at a board meeting last night he is working on the problem with the district's internal finance team and is getting advice from colleagues around the state.

He is also soliciting suggestions from the community. The email address is onevoice@rcsdk12 dot org.

Dade is expected on November 1st to present a full report on the fiscal problems.
