Brake Work Falsified, Never Performed On Schoharie Limo In 2018 Crash

A former auto shop employee is claiming brake work on the limo involved in last year's crash in Schoharie was falsified and never performed.

Defense Attorney Lee Kindlon says his client, the limo manager, was not negligent.

The Schoharie County District Attorney cites an interview with a tire store manager who alleges the limo company submitted invoices for brake work, but it wasn't performed.

The 19-seat limousine ran a stop sign and plowed into an SUV in a parking lot, killing two pedestrians and 19 people in the limo.

An investigation found the limo failed a safety inspection and also hired a driver who shouldn't have been behind the wheel.
