A Rochester man is set to be arraigned this morning on charges in last week's knife attack on police Officer Denny Wright.
Twenty-eight-year-old Keith Williams is charged with attempted aggravated murder and aggravated assault on a police officer.
Charging documents say Williams punched Officer Wright in the face then repeatedly stabbed him about his face, left eye and lower body, causing severe injuries.
Williams was arrested this spring for a shooting on North Goodman Street. He was charged then with assault, menacing and weapon charges.
Officer Wright remains in serious condition at Rochester General Hospital.
