Rochester Man Sentenced For Smuggling Counterfeit Viagra, Cialis

A Rochester man has been sentenced to serve two years' probation after he was found guilty on two charges of smuggling goods into the United States.

Samuel McFarland was arrested after an investigation that began in April of 2017, when customs inspectors found a package from Hong Kong addressed to McFarland at Kennedy Airport was filled with counterfeit Viagra and Cialis pills. In January of 2018, customs officers at the Rochester airport intercepted a package from china and found 3,000 fake Cialis pills inside.

Undercover customs agents delivered that package to the 55-year-old McFarland's door, and when he signed for it they presented him with a search warrant and arrested him.
