The National Transportation Safety Board is calling for nationwide seat belt requirements in limousines, following the crash that killed 20 people in Upstate New York.
It's been just under a year since an SUV that'd been modified into a stretch limo plowed through an intersection in Scoharie and ended up in the woods. The fatalities included the limo's driver, 17 friends headed to a birthday party, and two pedestrians.
In their report, the NTSB recommends lap and shoulder belts be required in all limos, and that seating be changed for safety purposes.
