Student Charged in LeRoy High School Threat

Police in LeRoy say a juvenile has been charged with making last week's social media threat against the LeRoy Central School District.

The suspect's name is not being released because of his age. He's been charged with falsely reporting an incident. Police say he sent the Snapchat message that made a threat against students at LeRoy Junior and Senior High School. Schools in the district were closed Friday as a result. He's a student at the school.

The threat was later determined to be false, but school officials said last week they're not taking it as a prank.
