Chris Collins Resigns From Congress

New York Republican Congressman Chris Collins is out.

Collins resigned Monday before entering an expected guilty plea Tuesday in a case involving insider trading.

Collins sent a letter of resignation to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Collins was charged with plotting with his son to sidestep significant losses on a biotechnology investment. He has been in Congress since 2013. He originally pleaded "not guilty" but papers filed in federal court say he will change that plea to "guilty" in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday.
