Poll of Registered Voters Shows Many Dislike New License Plate Plan

A poll of registered voters in New York shows most don't like Governor Cuomo's plan to reduce older license plates.

The Siena Research Institute poll shows 60 percent are opposed and only 31 percent are in favor.

Starting April 1st, platest that are ten years old, or older, will have to be replaced -- at a cost of $25. Drivers will pay another $20 to keep their old plate number.

75 percent of voters believe the plate replacement fee is unfair.
