Man Guilty Of Manslaughter Also Pleads Guilty To Immigration Charges

The man who pleaded guilty last week to manslaughter for killing his girlfriend and her young son on a farm in Sodus, has now pleaded guilty to federal immigration charges.

Alberto Reyes pleaded guilty to possession of a counterfeit social security card and alien registration card, and illegal re-entry after deportation.

Reyes was arrested last year while the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the disappearance of his girlfriend, Selena Hidalgo-Calderon and her son Owen.

Reyes is expected to be sentenced in November to 20 years in prison on the manslaughter charges. Sentencing on the federal charges is set for December.
