Rochester Man Convicted on Murder Charges Following Mistrial

A Rochester man has been convicted on murder and attempted murder charges after his first trial ended in a mistrial.

Joseph Boykins was found guilty of shooting 42-year-old Michael Earlsey and 28-year-old Quintora Harris on York Street last summer. Earsley died two hours later, and Harris recovered. She and Boykins had been in a relationship.

Boykins was indicted on murder, drug and weapon charges and went to trial in April, but the judge declared a mistrial. The second trial ended today with a guilty verdict.
