Rochester police are investigating a report that a house-sitter trashed a city couple's home, stole from them, and neglected their pets.
Katherine Cooper and her husband returned from a two-week vacation in Europe to find thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and appliances gone, and considerable damage to their home and car.
The Coopers say the house-sitter was a friend of a friend and had stayed in contact with them while they were gone.
They filed a police report, but so far, the woman has not been charged.
