Some lawmakers are pressuring Governor Cuomo to sign a new elevator safety bill into law.

If Cuomo signs the bill, elevator mechanics would have to prove their qualifications in order to obtain a license.
A man died last week when he was pinned and crushed in an elevator in New York City -- but the reason for the elevator's malfunction has yet to be determined.
