Monroe County's Department of Environmental Services confirms it was blue green algae found blooming in the pond at the Ellison Dog Park. The Rochester dog park is closed until further notice.
Some kinds of blue green algae are harmful to dogs. County officials say if your dog played in the pond yesterday, it should have a bath. Follow up with a vet if any symptoms occur.
