Two children are recovering from their injuries after police say they were struck by a driver while they were in a crosswalk on South Main Street in Canandaigua.
Police say the 9-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy were crossing with their grandmother and were thrown several feet. They were treated at Strong Hospital.
Driver Mathew Gambino, of Rushville, was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and passing a stopped vehicle at a crosswalk.
