Gov. Cuomo Touts Paid Family Leave Numbers

The numbers are in, and it looks like a lot of New Yorkers used paid family leave during the first year of the state's program.

According to the governor's office, 128,000 people took advantage of the benefit. Most working New Yorkers can take up to 10 weeks off at 55 percent of their average weekly wage to care for a newborn, a sick family member or have a major surgery.

Previously, they were allowed to take eight weeks off at 50 percent of their pay.
