Verizon Sues Rochester Over Fees

A legal fight is brewing over regulations in Rochester governing wireless communications.

Verizon claims in a lawsuit that several fees in the city's Telecommunications Code violate FCC regulations.

The suit alleges the fees Verizon is being charged to built out its 5G network are unreasonable and “discriminatory.”

But the city says other providers are paying the fees, and the fees are in-line with what other cities charge.
