A public hearing is set for this evening on the proposals by Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo to regulate grease trap covers.
The proposals were prompted by the death last month of a small boy who fell into a grease trap behind a Rochester donut shop.
The regulations call for food service businesses to make sure the covers are properly secured. The County will make annual inspections.
The County Legislature could vote on the proposals next month.
