Congress' nonpartisan Government Accountability Office is reviewing the plan that regulates water level on Lake Ontario.
Lakeshore property owners blame those regulations, known as Plan 2014, for flooding this year and two years ago.
The review also is looking at whether the regulators -- the International Joint Commission -- are addressing the concerns raised by property owners.
In a statement to 13WHAM, the IJC says it welcomes the review and has been cooperating fully. It says the GAO interviewed former IJC commissioners in March and members of the Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Board.
