A man who plead guilty to federal charges for shooting a gun out the window of a Greece apartment complex is going to prison.
Christopher Rivers was sentenced today to over two years behind bars after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Federal Prosecutors say Rivers fired a shotgun multiple times outside an apartment window at the Affinity Orchard Apartments back in January.
Because he had previously been convicted of a weapons charge in Orleans County, he was not allowed to possess a gun.
The incident brought a large police presence and even delayed the opening of nearby West Ridge Elementary School.
