According to the State Department of Motor Vehicles, Syracuse University Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim will keep his driver's license.
The DMV's website says the agency has completed its investigation of the fatal crash involving Coach Boeheim in February. Boeheim's SUV came onto the scene of a crash on I-690 in Syracuse just as one of the passengers in the wrecked car stepped into his path. Jorge Jimenez was killed.
Boeheim was not arrested or issued a ticket in the crash, but DMV policy requires such a hearing in the event of a fatal accident. The DMV also concluded that Boeheim was not to blame and the case is now closed.
