Hotel Manager Accused of Pocketing Thousands from Employer

An area hotel manager has been arrested on charges he fudged the books and pocketed $42,000.

Deputies say the thefts spanned more than two years while Bryan McGillvray, of Rochester, was working at the Penfield Hampton Inn and the Hampton Inn near Brockport.

He's charged with felony counts of falsifying business records and grand larceny.

The hotel determined through and audit that he had been altering business records and stealing the money since early 2017.

McGillvray was arraigned in Sweden Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
