Campaign Funds Can Now Be Used For Child Care

Governor Cuomo wants to encourage more parents, especially mothers, to run for public office. That’s why he says he is signing legislation allowing state and local candidates to use campaign funds to pay for child care expenses. The bill amends state election law to allow campaign dollars to be used to pay for childcare when the parent is out campaigning or performing the duties of public office. The law takes effect in 60 days.
