The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Rochester area has dropped a penny since last week.
AAA says the average in Rochester is $2.83. The statewide average is $2.89 -- 11 cents cheaper than this time last year.
Analysts say prices appear to be stabilizing. It's a signal that supply and demand are in sync.
