Father and Son Plead Guilty to Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

A father and son from Rochester have pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking charges.

Federal prosecutor say last February the two men picked up two kilos of heroin, and were taking it to Albany when they were stopped in Victor for a traffic violation, and authorities found the drugs.

Carlos Torres Perez pleaded guilty to possessing with intent to distribute.

His son, Carlos Yamiel Torres, pleaded guilty to a charge he lied to cover up the crime.

Both are scheduled to be sentenced in October, Perez faces a maximum of life in prison, Torres faces a maximum of three years behind bars.
