City of Rochester Hosts Vigil for Sharla Davenport

A noontime vigil is planned today outside City Hall in Rochester in memory of Sharla Davenport -- the longtime city employee who was killed this month in a crash in Pennsylvania.

Flags on all City buildings will fly at half-staff through Friday.

And on Thursday and Friday evenings, the lights at the Central Library and on other City buildings will shine purple -- Sharla’s favorite color.

The crash killed Sharla and her aunt and injured three other family members.
