The woman who drove her car into a wagon carrying two small children has been charged with reckless driving and traffic violations.
The children -- ages 10 months and 2 years -- are in the intensive care unit but are expected to survive.
Gates Police say Letoya Palmo was driving with her three children on Lyell Avenue when she was distracted by her sons and drove toward a utility pole. She swerved to avoid the pole and hit the red wagon -- then she said she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.
The wagon was dragged under the car about 50 feet.
