New Legislation Would Require Summer Camps to Disclose State Regulation

New York State lawmakers are urging Governor Cuomo to sign legislation involving summer camps. The bill would require summer camps to disclose if they are not regulated by the state.

State Senator David Carlucci says unregulated camps do not have to meet the same health standards as other facilities. They also do not have to keep up-to-date vaccination records.

The legislation passed the Senate and Assembly. It's unclear if or when the governor will sign the bill into law.
