Guilty Plea Entered for Rochester Man Who Built Pipe Bomb

A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to federal charges he built a pipe bomb in his home back in January.

Daniel Owens pleaded guilty to possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Greece Police were called to a home on Estall Road after getting reports of someone building bombs at that address.

That's where they found a device which appeared to be a pipe bomb, what looked like Molotov cocktail, and a glass jar containing metal screws and nails.Officers also found several rounds of ammunition for a 12 gauge shotgun.

Owens is not allowed to posses ammunition because of a 2018 conviction. Owens will be sentenced in October.
