Woodstock 50 Struggles to Move Forward

With only a little over a month to go before Woodstock 50 in New York, organizers are remaining mum about the details.

Oneida County's Emergency Services Director says everything remains up in the air, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Organizers of the festival, which is planned for August 16 through the 18, had hoped to change venues and applied for a permit at Oneida County's Vernon Downs racetrack.

But at a Town of Vernon board meeting last night, organizers couldn't say where tens of thousands of festival goers would spend the night, with no on-site camping planned. Several news outlets are also reporting that the Town of Vernon has denied the permit application.

Woodstock 50 has been plagued with problems, including the loss of its chief financial backer and resulting court battle.
