Woman From Rochester Dies When Car Rolls Into Adirondack Waterway

A 69-year-old Rochester woman has died after she was trapped in a vehicle that rolled down a bank into an Adirondack waterway after her husband got out to take pictures. Investigators say Frederick Stoss pulled his 2015 Subaru off Route 30 in Lake Pleasant around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Investigators say when he went to get a camera out of the back of the vehicle it started rolling down a bank. Stoss reportedly got back in to try and stop the car, but was thrown out when the car hit a log. He tried to save his wife Dorothy, but could not get her out in time. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
