Rochester Man Sentenced to 75 Years Behind Bars

A Rochester man has been sentenced to 75-years-to-life for the murder of two Rochester men and the attempted murder of a third man.

Syjesman Brown was found guilty on two counts of second degree murder, assault, attempted robbery and other charges. The body of Alexander Powell was found with dozens of stab wounds in a lot on Miller Street just over a year ago. A few days later, the body of David Jones was found by a man riding a bicycle through Genesee Valley Park. Jones' body had been set on fire.

Investigators also found that a year before, Brown had tried to rob and murder Anthony Holloway.

Brown received 25 years for each victim.
