The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has launched an internal investigation into the conduct of a deputy during a response at the Metro PCS store on Empire Boulevard in Penfield.
The deputy had gone there Wednesday to check on emotional elderly woman and physically prevented her from leaving. He followed policy and called an ambulance and a supervisor. The supervisor, however, was made aware of “concerns over the deputy’s response” -- which was caught on video.
The Sheriff’s office says the deputy’s response does not appear to fall in line with training standards. The woman is back with her family.
