The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a boating advisory for Canandaigua and Honeoye Lakes.
Authorities say because of the excessive rain, boaters should be mindful of possible debris under the water line.
Boaters are also being asked to use reduced speeds because of the high waters. Canandaigua Lake already has a 10 mph speed restriction within 200 feet from shore.
The sheriff’s marine unit will also be on patrol.
