Guard Found 'Justified' in Fatal Shooting of Cedarwood Tenant

A Monroe County Grand Jury has ruled a security guard was justified when he shot and killed a tenant outside a Rochester apartment building.

The guard shot Bradley Thomas at the Cedarwood Towers on January 8.

The guard's name has not been released.

The District Attorney's office says Thomas was acting in a manic state, harassing others and threatening the guard.

The guard had called 9-1-1 several times. There was a struggle in the parking lot, and the guard fired one round.
