Veterans, Disabled to Get Cheaper Bus Rides

Regional Transit Service says senior citizens 65-and-older will be able to ride the bus for 50 cents all day...and military veterans will ride for free if its Reimagine RTS plan is approved by the Regional Transportation Authority. People with disabilities would also ride for half of the usual dollar fare all day.

Seniors and the disabled currently ride for a dollar during rush hours and 50 cents during the off-peak times.

The fare recommendation does not cover paratransit services
