Plan 2014 May Face Suspension

There appears to be serious talk about suspending the controversial Lake Ontario water level regulations that some leaders blame for the flooding two years ago and this year.

Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich says he was told by Congressman Chris Collins that the U.S. members of the International Joint Commission are calling for a meeting to suspend "Plan 2014."

Under the proposal, the regulators would return to the plan that managed the lake level for more than five decades. It's not clear, however, if the current plan can be suspended without the support of at least one Canadian member of the IJC.
